Author Event with Edwin Malachi Vetahamani

Join us (8pm, May 18) for a scintillating evening of conversation with writer and poet Malachi Edwin Vethamani who will be talking about his new collection of stories Have I Got Something to Tell You. Malachi, a luminary Malaysian poet and writer, interrogates the interstices of contemporary lives to uncover cloistered lived experiences in contemporary Asian societies in this collection of stories. Through these stories, Malachi deftly juxtaposes the cultural with the personal, desire with duty, and the sacred with profane. His interlocutor for the evening is Faisal Tehrani, a notable author in his own right, who recently translated and published Koro Riots in English.

There will be an audience Q&A as well as a book signing on the evening. Please purchase your tickets early as spaces are limited. Tickets are RM10 and you will receive a RM10 voucher to use on event day.
